EGOV – CeDEM – ePart 2024

The eGov2024 conference in Leuven focused on the digital transformation of public services, emphasising the role of AI/ML, e-government, smart cities, and data-driven public administration. The event brought together public and private stakeholders, researchers, and academics to explore how these technologies are shaping smarter and more efficient public services.

The ACES project presented its ACES-EDGE platform, a self-organising, self-orchestrating, and self-optimising Edge-as-a-Service (EaaS) solution designed for data-intensive applications. The presentation highlighted how edge systems, combined with AI/ML, are vital for advancing e-government services, enhancing speed, security, and scalability.

We had fruitful discussions on how edge systems can foster enhanced, optimised, and inclusive digital services. Additionally, the conference was a perfect occasion to engage with the latest innovations in digital twinsdigital societycitizen-centric service developmentdata sovereigntyopen data, and digital transformation governance, keeping us at the forefront of digital government advancements.
